Nguy\u1ec5n V\u0103n H\u1ea3i is a prominent young artist of traditional lacquer paintings and graduated from Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 1992. He later became an apprentice of lacquer painters \u0110\u1ed7 Xu\u00e2n Do\u00e3n and L\u00ea Ng\u1ecdc Linh. Nguy\u1ec5n V\u0103n H\u1ea3i inherited lacquer techniques from his teachers, and at the same time, he developed his colors and styles. His realism direction with a slightly modern style seems to enhance lacquer paintings’ lyrical and noble substance. We also see a discreet Asian classic through the artist’s careful appearance of color layering. The nostalgic feelings in black and white landscape lotus pond and Ho\u00e0n Ki\u1ebfm lake will be felt at first sight in the work.<\/p>\n
