NGUYEN THANH MINH

Nguyen Thanh Minh – a realist painter, was born in 1937. From 1976, he was a lecturer and became vice president of Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts until 1988. Although he retired in 1997, he still regularly works as a visiting lecturer for universities in Ho Chi Minh City.

Pursuing a school of realism, Nguyen Thanh Minh’s oil paintings show mild and close language. Often found in the scenes of his paintings of daily life, landscapes and simple life. For example, the set of a fishing village, a mechanical workshop, a young girl with rice.
