Nguyen Trung (b. 1940) is sometimes called the father of Vietnamese Abstract Art. From a young age, he has had many noble achievements and awards. His paintings are sought after and exhibited nationally and internationally.

During his 60 years of practice, he experienced many historical and political events in Vietnam. Painter Nguyen Trung still retains his unique abstract identity and style.
